ABOUT
DEFFMATE is an electronic bass music project focused on pushing heavy sound design, deep low-end, and immersive atmosphere into unexpected spaces. Originating from Idaho and making a name for himself at his current residence in SLC, Utah, the lad has affiliations with collectives known as Smoke Siignals, Blaq Void and is an alumni at Salt Lake DJ and Production (SLDP)
Drawing from deep dubstep, leftfield bass, trap, and experimental electronic music, DEFFMATE’s production centers around contrast: weight and space, aggression and atmosphere, rhythm and unpredictability.
The result is music designed to move between headspace and dance floor—tracks that can feel hypnotic one moment and completely destructive the next.
